Om Śri Durgāyai Namaḥ
“With the highest selfless devotion, worship and meditate upon the feminine sovereign whom the Gods adore. Then the recitation of these 108 names should begin” – Devī Mahatmya
Dwelling in Durgā Devī
March 27, 2023

Navaratri Dates are: March 22-30, 2023
[March 21-29 Pacific NorthWest, Alaska, Hawaii]
This teaching will take place on March 27
The Vedic & Tantra tradition offer countless means to discover the divinity within, including relating to supreme divine forms through teachings, stories, and devotional practices. This year, in preparation for some intense astrological configurations from April-October 2023, we will be invoking Durgā Devī for guidance, direction, support & protection.
Together we will delve into the teachings & symbolism of Durgā and her forms, weapons, and role in our lives. We will practice opening & closing mantras, Yā Devī mantra & 108 names of Durgā. You will be encouraged to continue the practice throughout the Navarātri festival.
This deep offering is meant to guide you to a profound place in your spiritual journey. It is a perfect companion to your study of Tantra, Yoga, or the Bhagavad Gitā, bringing you deep into your own heart, where the feminine divine rests within us all. The Navarātri time is a perfect time to soften and be “cracked open” in the best of ways, opening yourself to new healing, transformation, and inner illumination of your divine purpose, gifts, and journey.
Prerequisite:
1) Desire for this practice & knowledge
2) Previous initiation into the Ya Devi Mantra {with opening & closing mantras}
3) Understanding this is NOT a training in how to initiate others, this is only for your personal practice

Dwelling in Durgā
Monday March 27, 2023
1pm-3pm Pacific Time
In this 2 hour program, Kaya will lovingly guide your relationship with the feminine divine with teachings about the forms & weapons of Durgā and the esoteric warrior-like qualities of Lakshmi.
We will practice several mantras in this program together – including the Yā Devī mantra and the 108 Names of Durgā.
The devi mantra is one of the few things I’ve been consistent with in a long time. It’s grounding. It’s beautiful. It’s a practice.
- Tamsie
I think it’s become a life practice for me. I just love chanting it every morning! And I find myself chanting particular verses in the day when things come up. It’s magical.
- Katie
Om Śri Durgāyai Namaḥ

Connecting to the true teachings of Durgā revealed her as a loving, compassionate mother who gently purifies the mind and heart so that we can be open to more love and blessing.
Work with Durgā Devī is more “intense” than work with Lakshmi, but it is essential to open the door to Lakshmi’s boons.
You may have multiple teachers, gurus, and mentors in your life. The work should be complimentary and symbiotic. In tantric upāya practices, as the way we work with the chandi path, the tradition insists that we commit to one teacher & approach – these teachings and practices are not for entertainment or collection. They are delicate, powerful, and precious.
Love,
Kaya
