Special Dīpāvali Class
Recorded & Self Paced
Throughout the year, the cosmos delivers opportunities to invoke the divine, to offer gratitude, to ask for support and guidance and to pray for blessing – for yourself, your loved ones and the world.
Dīpāvali is one of those primary times ~ a doorway opens in the cosmos and we can invite in Lakshmi in her highest form, with her blessing as the truest forms of wealth – these include not only material wealth but the wealth of wisdom, health and the victory of dharma over adharma. We light flames and engage with stories, teachings and mantras at this time and we make space for Lakshmi and dharma to live in our homes, hearts and communities.
Each Dīpāvali is unique due to specific astrological conditions, and Kaya brings to light the special meanings and reflections of this unique Dīpāvali that falls under the influence of “two paths that come together”.
Join Kaya & a beautiful community of yogic seekers to honor this time
Dīpāvali means “array of lights”… it is celebrated as a time to invoke Lakṣmi and to pray for the victory of dharma over adharma.
O Goddess Mother Lakshmi, you are aware of everything; you bestow blessing and defend us from adharma. You can remove all miseries of life. Oh auspicious one, I surrender myself to you. ~ Lakshmi Stotram
In this offering, Kaya shares the hidden connections of Dipavali’s multifaceted meanings and teachings, including…
- The meaning of lighting the lamp
- The Story of Narakāsura, with Kaya’s approach to extracting deeper meanings
- Dīpāvali, Lakṣmi and Earth Mother
- Reflections on the astrology of this year’s Dipāvali calling in wisdom, courage & dharma
- Mantra recitation for this time
Let’s come together to share the meaning of Dīpāvali and cultivate the supreme value of values – dharma, and the resource of all resources – wisdom.
How should we observe the festivals? We should not throw a big party. The best way to celebrate is to wake up early, do some study of the teachings, do some quiet reflection, do some yoga and then do your duties. That is the best way to celebrate these festivals. ~ Swami Tattvavidānanda
Honoring Dīpāvali sustains you in both your spiritual growth and your life's work.
