Sacred Teachings Made Personal, Meaningful & Transformational
"Nothing is more desirable than this knowledge, which is both good for you and delicious, like a nectar." ~ Pujya Swami Dayānanda Saraswati
About the Nectar of The Gītā
What is the Bhagavad Gītā?
The Gītā is practical mysticism meant for those of us who seek spiritual maturation in the midst of the complexities and conflicts of worldly life.
Topics Covered in the Gītā:
Why do I experience fear, stress, doubt, grief & insecurity?
Is it possible to be free from suffering?
Does life have a deeper purpose of life?
Who am I, really?
Why am I here?
What happens when we die?
What is God?
How can I tend to my responsibilities without abandoning my spiritual goals?
How do I understand the world around me?
How can I be in relationship with the divine?
What is the nature of my mind?
What obstructs me in my life and spiritual journey?
How can I overcome inner and outer challenges?
What universal values guide a good life?
The Bhagavad Gītā is a ‘nectar’ because it concentrates the most supreme teachings of the vedic tradition in 700 verses.
Who should study the Bhagavad Gītā?
The Gītā is for spiritual seekers who live in the world of responsibilities of work, family, and community. This scripture is unique because it concentrates the highest teachings of the upaniṣads, but transmits them in an unusual context – on a battlefield.
Why not just read the Gītā?
The Bhagavad Gītā is not considered a book, but sacred dialogue who’s message holds us like a divine mother. It’s secrets are meant to be accessible for all seekers, yet intentionally hidden & waiting to be revealed by an authenticated teacher in ways that are deeply relatable and meaningful. The teacher learns within a lineage how to reveal the secrets that are hidden in the language so that the scripture transforms the listener.

Nectar of the Gītā Curriculum
Overview of the Structure & Methodology
The Bhagavad Gītā is a “song” to be heard, not a book to be read. Listening to the Gītā, unfolded in accord with the traditional teaching methodology is itself a spiritual practice that will transform you, word by word.
The Nectar of the Gītā program is structured in accord with sacred architecutre of the scripture itself. It is 700 versus, organized into 18 chapters, divided into 3 segments – each dedicated to the theme dictated by the Gītā’s own design – Action, Love & Knowledge.
Kaya extracts the nectar of each chapter, unfolding them in sacred order – 18 lessons with complimentary Q&As. The Q&As are to uphold the tradition’s requirement for inquiry & studying in relationship with a teacher.
The teachings are made alive with profound metaphors that have been passed through the oral tradition for thousands of years and modern examples that make it personal, meaningful, and life-changing.

A Note from Kaya
*The 2024-2025 round of the Nectar of the Gītā will be my last one for a while. It’s been an annual undertaking of love since 2017, and this will be the 7th year! So if you’ve been waiting for the right time, I hope to see you this round.
When you choose to embark on authentic listening to the Bhagavad Gītā, you are choosing sacred hope and self-love.
The Gītā opens the door for the wisdom to truly alchemize the struggles and complexities of life into joy.
This is not a dry academic endeavor! The first time I taught the Bhagavad Gītā in full I was very pregnant and breastfeeding throughout. This process of mothering & sharing the Gītā opened up new revelations for me… as the Gītā as mother came alive.
The Nectar of the Gītā was designed to be both authentic & accessible, with the traditional teaching methodology that is passed down orally through lineage retained. My intention each round is to bring the teaching alive and keep it modern and meaningful from generation to generation. I’ve been teaching this program since carrying my second son in my womb. Now hundreds of seekers have completed, many returning year after year, and the teachings grow within me each time. It’s an honor to share with you.
Seekers who assimilate these teachings will learn to approach and receive life itself as a yoga practice, in every moment. May it be so.
Love,
Kaya
