As a student in this program, you will be invited to send us your birth information, so that we can send you your primary nakṣatras. If you feel inclined you will also be able to independently find out the nakṣatras of your loved ones, to gain deeper understanding and compassion for them.
Deep & Digestible
We will go at a digestible pace, with an amount of knowledge for each nakṣatra that is deep & satisfying without going too far into overwhelming amounts of information. With one class per month and 3 nakṣatras per class you’ll feel it is “just right” for heart felt learning of wisdom.
Meaningful & Applicable
In learning about the nakṣatras, you are learning about the star field that is the backdrop of life. By learning about the nakṣatras you will listen to divine and sacred stories, and be initiated into an understanding of the deeper patterns behind the variety of personalities & purposes in the world.

You’ll learn to understand the flavor of each day, which is determined by the nakṣatra position of the moon. You’ll gain special insight into the full & new moon of each month when you understand the nakṣatras and how they influence mental states, fears, desires & potentials.

The Nectar of the Nakṣatras will facilitate your connection with yourself, and those around you and the whole universe, by taking you on a sacred pilgrimage through the star field.
Nectar of the Nakṣatras makes use of vedic hymns, jyotiṣa śāstra [scripture], the oral tradition of teaching, personal revelations and the stories of the purānas.

A Note from Kaya
The very first thing my husband Michael and I were given to learn by our first Jyotiṣa teacher in India was the 27 Nakṣatra. We were simply comanded “here are the 27 Nakṣatras! Memorize them!”
Later, our primary Jyotiṣa teacher, Hart deFouw, took us through several study circuits with the Nakṣatra. It seemed he could churn endless lists of meanings for each star.
Years after, as I deepened my love of sacred stories by reading them to my children, more secrets of the Nakṣatra were revealed, hidden in the ancient lore of this tradition.
Most importantly understanding my own Nakṣatra allowed me to settle more deeply into myself and embrace my purpose.
These 27 star patterns, which I call the “daughters of destiny”, can help us to love ourselves more.

FAQs
These classes will be taught LIVE and will be recorded. Our plan is one class per month, covering 3 Nakṣatras over the course of 9 months. It is a commitment, but laid out in a slow schedule that allows you to digest, without pressure.
You do not need anything. However, a notebook dedicated for notes is strongly encouraged.
Each class is 2 hours of teachings, storytime & discussion.
If you’re trying to minimize screen time, just darken your screen listen as an audio course. The video is there to make it a little more engaging for people who are in need of visual connection to the teacher.
Yes! There will be time during class for questions. You’ll also be invited into our online Sangha – a beautiful, diverse and supportive group of students online. There you can share your experience, insights & questions. Maybe you’ll even connect with students who have the same Nakṣatras as you!
As a student in the program, Michael and Kaya will send you an email with your primary Nakṣatras – your Sun, Moon & Rising Nakṣatra positions.
