Minimal Props
SRY Training

A Practical Training for Teachers and Dedicated Yogis - Designed for Graduates of SRY Fundamentals with Kaya {or equivalent}

Online Program

July 25, 2022 | 7am-3pm PST

Learn to Nourish & Release {or teach others!} with fewer props.

Want to share or practice SRY with fewer props?

Whether for your practice during travel, teaching in an environment with few props, or seeking to expand your experience and explore alternatives to support, this practice will deepen your understanding and direct experience of Supreme Release Yoga.

Support is an essential component of the Supreme Release Yoga practice.

 The propping is a key to nurturance, letting go, and effectively targeting particular regions of the physical and subtle spine. Often, more propping provides a more therapeutic effect. And yet… there are times when a minimalist approach is necessary or can even shine a light on a different aspect or experience of the practice!

In this training, Kaya unpacks the particulars of practicing {or teaching} effectively without props. Learn which āsanas can be done using just a wall, floor, or chair to decompress the spine {and which cannot!}. Live attendance means Kaya’s eyes on your body {alignments, angles, and the effectiveness of the asana}. You also get to witness how Kaya handles various things that come up with individual practitioners and the diverse but patterned expression of angling into and nourishing the spine.

Gain direct experience and detailed pedagogy to guide others through SRY practice. You’ll leave clear, inspired, and confident with effective tools to help yourself and others with SRY, and that gathers the inner nectar of bliss, satisfaction, and rejuvenation.

SRY is a replenishing, compassionate, blissful, healing, and transformative approach. It goes far beyond Yoga for physical wellbeing, weaving together the full spectrum of the Vedic viewpoint.

SRY offers an effective framework that peels back the layers of misperception of Yoga to reveal the meanings behind the practices. What comes is compassionate clarity — free from rigidity — that allows each person to experience the nectar of Yoga in daily life.
