Navarātri 2022

Devotion to Durgā Devī

Prerequisites:

1) Desire for this practice & ability to commit

2)  Previous initiation into the Nectar of Navarātri with Kaya

The Vedic & Tantra tradition offer countless means to discover the divinity within, including relating to supreme divine forms through teachings, stories and devotional practices. This year, Kaya is following her intuition, confirmed by her mentor that it is time to initiate dedicated students into the 108 Names of Durgā. This initiation will take place during the Navarātri: the nine nights dedicated to celebrating the feminine divine.

This deep offering is meant to guide you to a profound place in your spiritual journey. It is a perfect companion to your study of Tantra, Yoga or the Bhagavad Gitā, bringing you deep into your own heart, where the feminine divine rests within us all. The Navarātri time is a perfect time to soften and be “cracked open” in the best of ways, opening yourself to new healing, transformation and inner illumination of your own divine purpose, gifts, and journey.

Devotion to Durgā

The devi mantra is one of the few things I’ve been consistent with in a long time. It’s grounding. It’s beautiful. It’s a practice
- Tamsie
I think it’s become a life practice for me. Just love chanting it every morning! And I find myself chanting particular verses in the day when things come up. It’s magical.

Om Śri Durgāyai Namaḥ

This year’s offering is from the heart & from the depths of my relationship with my own guru & mentor who encouraged and awakened Durgā practices & devotion in me. Connecting to the true teachings of Durgā revealed her as a loving, compassionate mother who gently purifies the mind and heart so that we can be open to more love and blessing.

This year, I am offering a “closed hand” teaching & initiation into Durgā. I will be teaching the recitation of her 108 names and encouraging a very deep & extended practice.

The class is open to those initiated into the Yā Devī mantra with the opening & closing mantras from the chandi path. Learn more

I will be encouraging participants to engage for the 9 days of Navarātri in a longer practice, designed to be more transformative & to penetrate more deeply.

Work with Durgā Devī is more “intense” than work with Lakshmi, but is essential to open the door to Lakshmi’s boons.

If you feel called to join me and cultivate your relationship with the feminine divine in the form of Durgā Devī, I would be honored to share this beautiful heart opening time with you.
Protectiion and Dedication

A little about the importance of honing in on your practices and deepening your dedication to a path & system. I was asked my my mentor & guru to share this with you… you can have multiple teachers, gurus, mentors in your life. The work should be complimentary… and symbiotic. In tantric upāya practices, as the way we work with chandi path the tradition insists that we commit to one teacher & approach – this work is delicate, powerful and precious.

Love,
Kaya
